The Wisconsonite Paddlers

Yeah, so Wisconsin hasn't ever been known for it's whitewater, or for that fact, it's paddlers. But beleive it or not, Whitewater is here (and surrounding here), and it's good. And so are the paddlers.
Locals swarm to whitewater hotspots in the spring, such as the Wolf, the Red, the Flambeau, the Pine, the Poplar, and (seriously) hundreds of others. These rivers run into mid-June, and sometimes later, and then recreational and competitive releases are sheduled on certain dam-release rivers throughout the summer.
You can be sure that there aren't as many paddlers in Wisconsin as there are in, say, Washington State, or North Carolina, but hey, we make up for it with enthusiasm.
But the great thing is, many renowned freestyle and slalom champions have come from Wisconsin (Gwen Greeley, Rebecca Giddens, many others).
The mission of Wisconsin Whitewate Paddlers (WWP) is to expand the sport of whitewater canoeing and kayaking, inform more people about what we do, and have fun!
So, check in when you can, and we'll keep you posted!
